| Landmine Clearance: Landmine Clearance at Pha Mo EE Daeng |
กระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่นให้การสนับสนุน องค์กรเอกชนชื่อ JAHDS เพื่อทำการเก็บกู้และกวาดล้างทุ่นระเบิดร่วมกับศูนย์ปฏิบัติการทุ่นระเบิดแห่งชาติ บริเวณสระน้ำโบราณ และแหล่งหินตัดอายุกว่า 1,000 ปี ที่ผามออีแดง อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาพระวิหาร พื้นที่ชายแดนของประเทศไทยติดกับประเทศกัมพูชา อ. กันทรลักษ์ จ. ศรีสะเกษ โดยเริ่มปฏิบัติการตั้งแต่ 11 กรกฎาคม 2548 เป็นเวลา 1 ปี หลังจากกู้ทุ่นระเบิดแล้วจะได้พื้นที่ปลอดภัยกว่า 450,000 ตารางเมตร และทางอุทยาน จะเปิดเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยว Unseen Thailand ต่อไป

| Landmine Clearance: Japanese government has been supporting landmine clearance in Thailand |
Photo: On June 20 2005, Mr. Hitoshi Takesume, First Secretary and as representative from the Japanese Embassy to Thailand visited the landmine clearance site at areas north to Pha Mor E Daeng in Khao Pravihan National Park, Kantharalak district, Sri Saket province. This clearance project has been carried out by the Japan Alliance for Humanitarian Demining Support (JAHDS), in conjunct with the Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC). Most of financial support for this project is received from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

| Landmine Clearance: Landmines Problem in Thailand |
About 20 years ago, Thailand had ideology conflict. The internal war between government and communist party of Thailand employed both weapons and landmines for defensive and offensive purposes. The fighting battle was not only that when our neighbor country-Cambodia-began to have internal conflict. There were fighting and trespassing onto our border areas intentionally and unintentionally depending on the situation. The fighting was thus spilt over in our territory that borders Cambodia; from Chantaburi, Trad, Sakeao, Buriram, Surin, Sri Saket, and some parts of Ubonratchatani province.
